Galicaster RACK is a powerful unit based on Intel i7, extremely silent, based on heavy duty components for 24-7 operation. All ports are on the front of the unit for easy deployment a support. Just 35 cm deep. It can be configured to become a worker during the night in Opencast-Matterhorn clusters.
h4. What is Galicaster CUBE ?

Galicaster CUBE (former Galicaster Mobile) is a complete multistream recording station designed for mobile operation.

h4. Main features:

GaliCUBE runs [Galicaster SW|Galicaster:Galicaster project Home] so, it provides *real-time feedback from video and audio sources* \--any unexpected situation can be detected and solved immediately. Recording may be started and stopped automatically, by scheduling the start and stop instants, but GaliCUBE also supports manual control of the recording, enabling the operator to start, pause and stop recordings at will \--even if they were started automatically.

h5. Common specifications
It is *adaptable to many video devices* from USB webcams to HDMI or professional HD-SDI cameras. It also captures synchronously from VGA sources (presenter laptop, for instance) and audio sources such as players and microphones. GaliCUBE will walk you through the identification, selection and configuration of such devices.

GaliCUBE also features a *repository with all the recorded media*, with a comprehensive set of operations to manage the collection: sorting old recordings, deleting many recordings in a single operation, sending and resending media to the distribution channels, ingesting to Opencast-Matterhorn servers, labelling tracks, etc.
