Galicaster Mobile is a Multistream Recorder and Player designed for mobile equipment to record, tag and review multistream media, all together in a single application and without requiring an Internet connection.
*Online synchronization*

The most important feature of Galicaster is the fact that the capture parameters can be controlled in real time (proper recording, volume settings, video quality...), and the tracks being recorded can be reviewed in place.
Once GMobile is online it will synchronize data and events with the core application. All completed recordings suitable for {color:#000000}publishing{color} will be sent automatically to the distribution system, so that they can be processed and published. At the same time, if any upcoming event is created, modified or deleted, GMobile will update its schedule accordingly.

Galicaster is designed to be compatible with the Opencast Matterhron Project, so we can schedule recordings and ingest them remotely. The [Opencast Matterhorn|http://www.opencastproject.org/matterhorn] (OC-MH) project, an international, free, open-source effort on educational multimedia content from which we would benefit from, taking advantage of all the tools within to process and distribute educational material. Once Galicaster is settle in, we can record, play, edit and modify metadata of the recordings (all in OC-MH Mediapackage format) and finally ingest them to a Matterhorn Core.
