Depending on the Hardware (link), [Galicaster:Hardware], an Intel (R) i5 or equivalent should cover most of the capturing devices.

Check the sound control in your operative system if your audio device it's muted or in a too low volume. Be sure of the device you want to record the audio from.

After ensuring that your laptop is sending the signal properly, check your configuration, the capture device it's problably misconfigured.

If you have further problems, check if the resolution it's compatible with you VGA framegrabber.
h6. 7.\- My camera it's working fine but I only get noise or a black screen.
Your camera and your capturing card should have a compatible configuration (e.g., both sending and getting Composite in PAL).
h6. 8.\- Can I use Galicaster in other distributions:
For now, Galicaster has been tested only for Ubuntu 10.04 but we are working on make it avaliable for newer versions of Ubuntu.
h6. 9.\- I want to modify Galicaster for my own porpouses, how can I do that?
As for the license Galicaster is being released under, you can modify the Software yourself. Please send back any modification and address us any problems getting them ready. Before start any changes yourself, get in touch with us to avoid any unnecessary work for both we and you.
