After two months of hard work developing an experimental Galicaster with live streaming, we've just passed our first acid test. The venue was an important annual conference, [JAI 2012|http://jai2012.uvigo.es] held by the Industrial Engineering School at the University of Vigo.

To complete the streaming approach we've used a RTMP stream pointed to servers such as Wowza, Flash Media Server or CRTMP. Other important aspect of this experimental unit is the possibility of recording the streams independently - maintaining the dual video basis of Galicaster - and make a side-by-side composition to stream.

In addition, the composition is highly customizable, providing branding, side-by-side and picture-in-picture compositions.

Videos are available at [tv.uvigo.es|http://tv.uvigo.es/es/serial/1498.html]

Next test will be the annual reunion of [RedIris|http://rediris.es/], the Spanish NREN, on Bilbao.
